Our Founder

Growing up, Justin Barrier was raised in a military family, learning at a young age that strong work ethic and respect were of the highest priority. He attended Woodford County High School and graduated in 2002. From there, he went on to play 4 years of baseball at Union College and graduated with a major in Biology.

After college, he started Barrier Roofs, and a few years later, married his wife Sarah from London, KY. Together they have two girls, Berkley and Dakota, and a wire-haired Pointing Griffin named Pookie. They attend Southland Church in Lexington.

In his free time, Justin enjoys fishing, hiking, hunting, boating on the lake, live music, playing guitar and banjo, and traveling with his family.

Justin founded the company with the belief that success means customers are respected, an awesome work culture is cultivated, all while the highest quality of roofs are installed. He ensures that the Barrier Roofs Team members exemplify 3 qualities- Hungry, Humble, and Smart, which they bring daily to their work. He believes that the right personnel paired with the correct partners guarantees that the best product is delivered to customers. There is a lot of heart behind the business, hence the motto “Because We Care…”
